ALL Saints
“To the church of God which is in Corinth, to those who have been made holy in Christ Jesus, saints by the selection of God, with all those who in every place give honor to the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, their Lord and ours:” 1 Cor. 1:2 Paul began most of his correspondence with this type of opening. Just as I might begin a letter to all of you with, “To my dear friends on eBlogger, those called to be separate from other internet social networks and iphone apps, greetings.” Please note that he was addressing a special, called apart, “sanctified” by God, group. Those who did not understand, or accept, Christianity, were not included. He goes further by calling these elect SAINTS. Remember, there were no councils to canonize folks into Sainthood in those days, yet everyone who believed was labeled Saint. That hasn’t changed. Those who God has called to be apart from the world, with convinced hearts, minds and souls, are counted in this category. Isn’t that great news!! Happy, All Saints, Day!!
