What is Your Christian IQ?

Last, but far from least, #1 on the top 10 signs you know you are Fundamentalist Christian - "You actually know a lot less than many atheists and agnostics do about the Bible, Christianity, and church history - but still call yourself a Christian.”  Ouch!!  This one hurts the most, because it hits so close to the truth.  Honestly, how much do you really know about the Bible, Christianity and church history? As I've mentioned these past 10 days, atheists and agnostics usually have made a decision to refuse God, based on a personal study.  Perhaps their study was superficial, and maybe it was influenced by a bad experience with the church, but either way, many know far more than those who call themselves Christians. Try to see yourself from an atheist’s perspective.  When these questions are posed, are you prepared to answer?  You can’t fall back on the old, “I don’t question my faith” response, that just makes you look ridiculous.  Even if these people are not searching for God, they love to undermine sacred beliefs. Why, well to prove to themselves that they are correct in their claim that there is no God.  Without scripturally sound foundations, the church will crumble.  When Christ was led into the wilderness to be tempted by the devil, the old accuser knew his stuff, and he was testing Jesus’ mettle and knowledge of the word.  Each carefully crafted temptation was a twist on the scriptures, but Jesus was prepared.  Jesus retorted with rhema  "the word of the Lord  that endureth for ever", and the devil retreated, knowing he had been bested. When, not if,  you are confronted with these tough, challenging statements/ questions, you MUST be equipped to give the clear reason for the hope that is within you. “The god of this age has blinded the minds of unbelievers, so that they cannot see the light of the gospel of the glory of Christ, who is the image of God.” 2 Corinthians 4:4.  Overcoming blindness isn’t easy, but it can happen, keep your light bulb burning!
