Columbus Day

“In fourteen hundred and ninety-two, Columbus sailed the ocean blue.”  Remember that little ditty from grade school? It always comes to mind on this day.  CC must have been quite a determined guy, and one who depended on God.  Most people still thought the world was flat, and he was pretty sure it wasn’t!!  Hey, I consider driving to Champaign by myself as adventurous!  Back in the day of Moses, God chose some men to explore the promised land.  The majority were scared to death, literally!!  Only Joshua and Caleb were confident that God had sent them, and God would protect and bless them.  He did. “Of the men who went to explore the land, only Joshua son of Nun and Caleb son of Jephunneh survived.” Numbers 14:36-38. When God asks you to “explore” new territories, and He will, don’t be afraid of the journey, He has your back, your head, heart and spirit!!
